Atlas AS7-D is a Assault-class 'Mech in Battletech.

Description[ | ]

The Atlas is the king of the battlefield, capable of bringing a dizzying array of weapons to bear on targets at any range. With nineteen tons of armor and a Defiance AC/20 as its main gun, few opponents can survive even brief contact with an Atlas.

Loadouts[ | ]

  • Pinpoint Damage Brawler / Finisher One of the more common custom build is to make use of the available tonnage and mount 2x AC/20's with 4 to 5 tons of ammo. The rest of the tonnage can be used for SRM's, Medium Lasers, Jump jets (which are heavy but useful to close range) or armor depending on player style.

  • The Atlas D is the king of the battlefield, capable of bringing a dizzying array of weapons to bear on targets at any range. It is also noteworthy for normally mounting the maximum amount of armor possible. Few opponents can survive even brief contact with this monster.
  • While indeed formidable in a melee, Atlas is rather slow and will have trouble closing in on faster heavy and medium mechs. Consider swapping out the medium lasers and SRM for some large lasers that will allow it to seriously damage enemies that wisely stay out of the reach of its autocannon.
  • Available to scavenge in battles and to buy their parts in shops after finishing the campaign and liberating Coromodir (however, if you happen to run into an Atlas beforehand during five star contracts, it's naturally available for salvage).
